A Rainy Day
Cusco is rainy and cold, and I'm feeling a bit under the weather today and basically a bit off. Here are two recent purchases ^ these bags can be found on every other street corner selling tourist wares, I'm still in love with them none the less.
Bed Bugs :(
I'm pretty sure that I have bed bugs, having a cluster of 5 bites on my inner arm. My brother has it and so does his roommate, and it's a pretty common thing here unfortunately. Fortunately there are pharmacies everywhere, and was told to get this powder. I guess you have to sprinkle it on your bedding and leave it in the sun for a few hours - a sooo I'm hoping this works....

I think this is probably the best costume I've seen. I love what the meter says.
I'm hungover today. I really should never drink wine yet alone boxed wine at a high altitude with no water. I felt like death this morning. Anywho, I've taken some pictures of our rad costumes. I'm feeling kind of so so about going to this thing. First of all drinking is the last thing I want to do right now, and second, I'm going to be drinking with a bunch of 22 year old's. It makes me feel old. Great combination huh? Old and hungover.
I'm Leaving Tomorrow Morning!
Most of today was spent running around for stuff and hanging out with people. I'm trying to pack as light as I can for the 3 week stay. Here is my luggage (minus the cat) all generously donated to me by Caelin.. I can't wait! Also, have fun in Chiners Giners!
3 Days to Go - What I am Afraid of
- Taking three flights to get to Cusco
- Getting altitude sickness ( soroche )
- Giardia - A parasite that gives you diarrhea
- Bugs
- Pickpocketing? I don't want to be paranoid but I am.
- Still having the flu
