Machupicchu by Train - City in the Clouds

Views from the Backpacker train to Macnupicchu.

Agua Caliente, the small town / tourist trap that we stayed in.

Machupicchu before sunrise, early and rainy, not so bright.

Collin and I.

The Vistadome train offered scenic views, fashion show to Madonna, and guy in mask doing traditional dance.

Just got back from Machupicchu and hoping this sore belly is from spicy curry and not from a parasite. Anyway, this is probably the most extensive post I've put up yet so I'll let the pictures speak for themselves ( maybe add in a bit of text but not much ). The pictures don't really depict the scale of this city or extreme elevation, it's quite impressive. I will update to see what Collin has in his Machupicchu image bank.

OMG, I want to write this entire comment in caps and then punctuate everything with exclamation marks! Wow, this alone makes me want to go to Peru. Machupicchu looks so amazing...I am so jealous of you.

Yeah it was pretty insane. If you go be prepared for a workout! It seems that every Inca ruin is uphill, especially Machupicchu!
