Lemonade

What do people who were once paid to be creative for a living do when they’re laid off? They get creative with their own lives. Lemonade is an inspirational film about 16 advertising professionals who lost their jobs and found their calling, encouraging people to listen to that little voice inside their head that asks, “What if?”

 Note: A close to home film based in San Francisco 09, expected but very interesting to see each individuals outcome of the layoffs. I guess my lemonade is now.

The view from my hotel in Bayswater London

I've finally made it to my hotel and am trying to get settled in while fighting jet lag. The whole process of flying was pretty uneventful and much easier than expected. The only issue or maybe regret was lugging around my four large pieces of luggage, but I think that minimizing my life to 4 large bags is quite an accomplishment with my hoarder tendencies. My goal for tonight - to figure out the London Tube system and stay awake at a decent hour. For tomorrow - I will set up my bank account and get a UK phone number, and explore the city a bit more.

London Design Festival 2010

I will be in London for the design festival, and the great part is that half of my student project will be to go to the various shows etc. I'm thinking that this one will be much better than ICFF (note the Audi octopus installation in Trifalgar Square). Sadly, I will not have my usual partners in crime to talk shit and get drunk with.
